BodyInSoul with Beth McDougall

D&G Dance Collective are delighted to bring you another chance to come together for a conscious dance practice.

This time we have Beth McDougall bringing us BodyInSoul.

About the event

BodyInSoul
BISO offers a clear simple framework + a wide movement tool kit to explore + invite us into conscious movement.

Body in Soul is a simple, soul infused embodiment journey - including attention to focus, breath, movement, rhythm and space, six movement portals, aspects of the medicine wheel and BodySpirit - all leading to free form, creative expression in movement.

The BISO map rests on the poetry that the body and all the systems that run through it - emotional, mental, imaginal + energetic - are moving through the vast and boundless landscape of Soul. Embodiment, dance, music and community is one way of tapping into and reminding ourselves and each other of the gift of being alive…

Dancing is inviting yourself in movement to:

release tensions, to be able to breathe more freely, to give expression and space to all that you engage in, to feel yourself back, to welcome new possibilities, to allow beautiful encounters, to enjoy and so much more.
The only ingredients you need during these sessions is to arrive with curiosity and give your body permission to move however it wants to move.

About Beth
Over the last 12 years I've focused on movement practices within a range of modalities and  in December 2024 completed the 2 year facilitator training in BISO - Body in Soul.

Dance is one of my strongest connections to spirit - it brings me home and back to life. I’m passionate about presence and learning, whilst staying in my body and creating spaces for others to be in theirs.

I care about honesty, sovereignty, grace and trust. Finding an open hearted connection, and deep knowing with a wider awareness of the shifts underway in the world and a purposeful vision for what could be.

I also work as a photographer and Systemic Constellations practitioner.
